Overview

Kathmandu city is considered the gateway to the Nepalese Himalayas and is home to several world heritage sites The Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudnath, and Pashupatinath. After finishing your visit to capital city proceed to another exciting wildlife tour of  Chitwan National Park. First in Nepal and one of the biggest wild life sanctuaries in world, you can enjoy various activities like Elephant ride, Jeep ride, canoe ride, crocodile farm visit. Pokhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal. Many tourists visit Pokhara Valley to see the Himalayan range and lakes. Pokhara is also famous for boating, trekking and extreme sports like rafting, canoeing and bungee jumping.

  1. DAY 1 : ARRIVE KATHMANDU

    Meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is free for personal activities.

  2. DAY 2 : KATHMANDU

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Morning visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayamhbunath.

    Kathmandu Durbar Square:  Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards, and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The visit to Durbar Square includes the temple of Living Goddesses, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of Royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering 40 meters.

    Swayambhunath:  Located approximately 4 km west of Kathmandu, this Buddhist stupa is said to be 2500 years old, the stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four-sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

    Afternoon proceeds to visit Patan. Situated 5 km from Kathmandu, Patan is also known as Lalitpur, the city of fine arts, enclosed within four stupas said to be built in the 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. The city retains much of the old charm with its narrow streets, brick houses, and a multitude of well-preserved Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries (vihar), and monuments. A trip to the Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Handicraft Center will also be done while visiting Patan, where you will witness the hand-weaving of Tibetan carpets and the molding of metal statues.

  3. DAY 3 : KATHMANDU / CHITWAN (170 KM/06HRS)

    Drive to Chitwan. Upon arrival check in at the resort/hotel. Chitwan National Park, the lush valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of the Churia ranges, houses the first National Park in the country. The Royal Chitwan National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife, especially the Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. It is a true wildlife adventure of a different kind-jungle safari on elephant backs or jeeps, bird watching, canoe rides, and jungle walks. It was enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site (Natural) in 1984 and covers an area of 932 sq. km. En-route lunch at a local restaurant.

  4. DAY 4 : CHITWAN

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Today enjoy full-day activities. include; elephant rides or jeep drives (one of them), canoe rides, nature walks, village tours, local ethnic cultural dances, etc.

  5. DAY 5 : CHITWAN / POKHRA (150 KM/06HRS)

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure walking around the lakeside. Pokhara; The rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow-fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara, one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the kingdom. The altitude of Pokhara varies from 780 m to 1350 m. It is located virtually in the geographical center of Nepal. Located on the main road between Kathmandu and Bhairahawa, there may be no other place in the world from where the Great Himalayas peaks can be admired from such a close distance. Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world; Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu – are within a linear distance of 50 km from the city. Phewa Lake, Skirted by large numbers of unpretentious lodges and simple restaurants, is the most congenial spot for visitors. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit.

  6. DAY 6 : POKHRA

    Early morning visit Sarangkot to view sunrise over the Himalayas (subject to weather permit).

    Sarangkot: It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. Situated very close to Pokhara town, it is a semi-developed village located on a hilltop. One has to leave early in the morning while it is still dark to catch the sunrise. It has great views in all directions. Return to hotel visiting Bindebasini temple en-route. Bindebashini Temple is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara. Legend says that when Pokhara was a part of the Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India. The temple is in the area of the Bazaar; hence, a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple.

    Later boat rides on Phewa Lake for approx. 45 minutes and continue walking towards the Buddhist stupa. Cross the lake by boat and commence an uphill walk for approx. 1.5 hrs.

    World Peace Stupa: The World Peace Pagoda of Pokhara is one of the many similar stupas scattered around Nepal and other places in the world where the harmony, compassion, and non-violence foundation of Buddhism is practiced. Built with the intention of spreading the message of peace after witnessing the devastating aftermath of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, NichidastsuFujii, the founder of the Nipponzan-Myohoji Buddhist Order.

    After spending some time walk down to the vehicle waiting point. Drive to the hotel en route visiting Davis Fall and Gupteshwor Cave. Davis fall’s: Witness a unique waterfall that lies 2 Km from central Pokhara City. The waterfall directly goes into a deep and narrow canal with no ends.

    Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is probably the longest and most attractive cave in South Asia which is located in the pristine location of the northwestern part of Pokhara, a world-famous tourist destination in Gandaki zone and Kaski district. Ancestors called this place desolate Khatri Tara. This cave was formally established in 1994, which is a religious and tourist destination and is called Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

  7. DAY 7 : POKHRA / KATHMANDU (210 KM/06HRS)

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the afternoon is for personal activities.

  8. DAY 8 : KATHMANDU DEPARTURE

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Transfer to airport for departure onward destination.
